Meralco Power Academy (MPA) conducted an online training course on Increasing Plant Efficiency While Saving on Maintenance Cost through Better Lubrication Practices. The 2-day training was attended by 25 participants from various industries.
The course equips participants with knowledge on proper lubrication contamination control, prevention/reduction, correct lubrication for equipment, transitioning on changing oils from running-hours to condition-based through oil analysis, and strategies to save cost on lubrication.
Industry expert Mr. Rolly Angeles facilitated the course. Mr. Angeles is a seasoned international maintenance and reliability consultant, with over 29 years of experience in the field. He has conducted trainings locally and abroad, including in the Middle East, Asia, and South Africa. He has a proven track record for successfully reducing unplanned breakdowns in their TPM Journey as well as RCM implementation on their Facilities AHU units and substation equipment.
Currently, Mr. Angeles is an independent reliability and maintenance consultant and has authored 3 books, namely World Class Maintenance Management, The Twelve Disciplines, Maintenance Roadmap to Reliability, and Reliability – A Shared Responsibility for Operators and Maintenance.
Participants gave Mr. Angeles a 5-star training evaluation as he imparted theoretical knowledge and practical techniques. They appreciated the key learnings that they can apply to their role as Maintenance Managers, and significantly reduce lubrication costs.
